A social media QR code is a plain link code whose link happens to be a profile address. Scanning it opens Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Telegram or Snapchat at your page, in the app when the app is installed and in a browser when it is not. It saves the scanner from spelling a handle correctly from across a room.
How to make a Social Media QR Code
- Pick the network from the list — the tool builds the profile address in the shape that network uses.
- Type your handle without the @, or paste the whole profile link if you would rather copy it than retype it.
- Scan the preview with a phone that is not signed in to that account, so you see what a stranger sees.
- Download the SVG and put it where someone is standing still — a table tent, a counter card, the back of a receipt.

Frequently asked questions
Can one code point at more than one network?
No. A QR code holds one address, so it opens one profile. If you want Instagram and YouTube on the same poster, point the code at a link-in-bio page or a page on your own site that lists both, and print that one code.
Do I type the @ before my handle?
Either way works. The tool removes a leading @ before building the address, and adds one back for YouTube and TikTok, which need it in the URL. If you paste a full profile link instead, the tool uses that link exactly as you pasted it.
Does it open the app or the browser?
That depends on the scanner's phone. If the app is installed, most phones hand the link to the app; if it is not, the link opens the profile page in a browser, where the network usually asks them to install or sign in.
What happens if I change my handle later?
The printed code breaks. The old handle is written inside it, and the network will not forward the address to your new one. If you expect to rename, point the code at a page you control instead of at the profile.
